Weekend with Grandma

As Mark's Father's Day gift, I bought him a pair of tickets to the Blink 182 show, our second year in a row at the First Midwest Bank Amphitheater. Hence, my mom volunteered to come down for the weekend and be our free sitter (despite her broken foot and a doctor's appointment in LaCrosse on Friday, what a trooper!), not to mention get to spend some time with the kiddos. We had a great time, having a picnic at the Wheaton campus on Sunday before she left. We were so thankful to have some time alone and also to have some time together. All in all, it was a great weekend. Thanks, mom!

Little red curls:)

Dane insisted that we include his "friend" the penguin. Still having fun after years together:)
Us on the lawn at the concert. We are old compared to the average lawn-ticket purchaser. After getting hit with a beer can, tripped over by a train of drunk teenagers and kicked by a pair of wrestling girls, I don't wonder why. Darn kids!
Laser show, so much more awesome thanks to the foggy/smoky air.

Possibly my favorite picture of Aria yet.

  1. I did not realize teens like Blink 182. I figured the fans would be our age!
