It's so fun to have a little girl whose pants match my toenails. Makes me look forward to watching her grow!

A boy and his box

We get so many toys and books and STUFF for our kids to keep them happy, stimulated, growing, and none of it can compare to the box our diapers were delivered in. Go figure. We love Dane's imagination, and the box we just got, after adding a few windows and drawings, has had him enchanted for weeks. Thank God for the simple pleasures in life!

Easter Egg Hunt!

Today, we had the pleasure of heading to an awesome Easter brunch/egg hunt at our friends', the Mathews', house. Mark was called into the hospital to do a delivery at 6:45 this morning, so it was just me and the kiddos. We were sad to go without Daddy, but had a blast nevertheless. Here are a few photos from our time together!

and the ladies love him. :) here's a picture another dad took of his daughter and dane out for a "drive" at a local mall playland. dane says hi to the girl but absolutely lives for the attention. now where did that trait come from....? we also need to get a photo of the lifeguards at the gym's pool who always smile and wave at dane, calling him their "favorite baby ever."

Ari is 7 months old!

We can't believe how fast it's going! This month she's taken to eating solids, has slept through the night like a champ, continues to expand her range of sounds and expressions and has learned to sit up all by herself. No teeth just yet, but she's working on it. You can tell how much she wants to join Dane when she's watching his antics...lots of squirming and high-pitched squeaking, along with huge grins! She's our peaceful, observant girl, a good foil to her wild, full-speed-ahead bro.

Vacation Week, March Edition

Exploring the woods

Over the week at home, we managed to get out into the woods and do some exploring with Dane. We saw some lamb's ears, a bunch of scary nests of ants, and various animal tracks. Dane is going to love running around out here once he can walk without having all the brush at face level:) Until then, shoulders!
