A trip to Monkey Joe's
We find that Dane gets a bit tired of being stuck in the house all day. In an attempt to keep him happy and get him tired, we do many things. We go on long walks, either so he can watch all of the students walking around at Wheaton College (he loves to watch the football team practice in the afternoons) or going to a park close to us where he can run around and watch the Metra and freight trains chugging through town. We take him to child care at the gym, sometimes so we can work out and other times just so we can shower and sit and read for a bit. Aria isn't old enough to go to child care at the gym yet (3 month old minimum) so Larissa and I currently only go to the gym 1 at a time. But to switch it up a bit for Dane this last week, we took him to Monkey Joe's, in Wheaton. It was pretty fun. The whole place is filled with maybe 10 large inflatable bouncers / slides. Dane and I enjoyed going down the slides but I think Dane was a bit disturbed by the way the floors of the bouncers were so soft and made it very hard for him to use his newly "mastered" skill of walking. Larissa and Aria watched as Dane and I did the slides. Doesn't it look fun? :)
