Aria Gray Anderson
Larissa was scheduled to be induced this morning at 8am. However, baby dos did not feel like waiting that long. Larissa started feeling contractions and having the "labor shakes" around 1 am this morning. She's had them on past nights but they always went away. Last night, however, they stayed. After around 2 hours, we called the hospital (Hinsdale Hospital) to let labor and delivery know we were coming. Larissa didn't really feel painful contractions until we were about half way to the hospital but, after getting to the hospital and getting checked in, she was more than happy to get her epidural. Again, it worked great! After a couple hours of just hanging out and having her contractions coming every 2-3 minutes without any pitocin, the OBGYN came and said Larissa was ready to deliver. After literally 3 good pushes, Aria Gray Anderson entered the world at 9:14 am this morning (9.13.10). The OBGYN said she wouldn't have been nearly as successful pushing had she not worked out so much during the pregnancy. Aria weighed in at 8 pounds 6 ounces, is 22 inches long, and has a head circumference of 13.5 inches. She seems huge to us, after Dane was born at just 3 pounds 13 ounces. And we are quite proud of her. She is super cute and did a great job feeding already. Want to see pictures? :) More to come. This is just a quick post.
