It is hard for us to believe how fast the last 2 weeks have gone by...and also hard to believe it has only been 2 weeks since Aria was born. We are excited to see her growing and becoming more aware. We are excited to see how Dane loves her and is adapting to having her home. We still dread the nights, when she wakes up a couple times each night (we have had a couple good nights already and just hope they start to be the rule rather than the exception). We are still working with Dane to be loving without being too rough with Aria - while he likes to kiss her, he is also learning the names of the parts of the face (nose, ears, eyes, mouth) and he likes to poke Aria in the eyes or twist her ears... we are working on it.
Being so tired and stressed, not having family close to help with Dane and Aria, has been hard on Larissa and I. When we get tired our fuses get short and we have had some stupid fights about things we often don't remember in the morning. Our house is not as clean as we are used to.
One great thing has been how I have been able to be home with Larissa this month. Dane and Aria are enough to keep us both busy and exhausted, so I'm really glad I've been able to be around, not only to help but also to spend some good time with Dane while Larissa is feeding and dealing with Aria.
