Photo update

I just finished spending a month home from the hospital on FMLA paternity leave. It was great and really hard to go back to the hospital. No, it wasn't easy...truth to tell, my job is easier (mentally and physically) than being home and juggling Dane all day and Aria all night.

Our family of 4 went to Wheaton's homecoming recently. I swam at the Alumni Swim Meet and didn't embarrass myself. Then we went to the football game: Larissa wearing Aria in the Baby Bjorn and both of us wrangling Dane.
Since I was home during the day over the last month and it was so unseasonably warm out, Dane and I got to spend some time outside. It gets more fun as he is walking more and getting older. He loves bubbles and we would sit on the porch blowing bubbles (but he still hasn't mastered blowing bubbles, preferring instead to lick the bubble wand).

We also spent time outside as the leaves started to fall. Here is Dane out with us as Larissa and I did some raking.

And lastly, we recently had several doors in our rental house replaced. We had asked the landlord to replace them prior to us moving in, but he hadn't yet gotten to it. So, sadly, the workmen started for 2 days in a row at 7:30am, waking up anyone still asleep and putting a serious wrench into the naps those days. Dane, however, was very excited about having workmen around and all of their tools. He loves hammers and, while watching the workmen hammer, would pound his hand on the floor going "tap tap tap!" This picture is of Dane sitting in his SpongeBob convert-a-bed watching the workmen work. You can tell how excited he was when I tried to get his attention for the photo...
