Our family recently went to our first young families meeting at the church we attend. We felt that Ari was finally old enough to handle the 2 hour time frame, and we had a blast! It was the kickoff meeting and there were what seemed like 1000 kids, many Dane's age. He ran around making new friends like crazy. The highlight of the meeting was taking a meal to a local fire department to thank them for their service. The kids got to check out the trucks and we got to chat with the firemen and see our kids get really excited. See our pictures below. Dane caused his usual mayhem, if you can believe it. Oohing and ahhing over the big ladder truck. The ladder is 103 feet long.
This is how little boys start wanting to be firemen when they grow up:)
Dane could practically fit inside the hose, it was so wide.
Sitting in the ambulance.
This is the photo taken as Dane was starting the ambulance with the key that was left in the ignition. Note to self, never allow him to be in a vehicle by himself with the keys...we all got a bit of a scare, but the fireman said he was impressed and no one was hurt, so we can laugh about it:)
These are great! I love how Dane is literally leaning forward in excitement in the first photo. And judging from that last photo, Dane is even smarter than I realized! You've got your hands full with that one!
