Dane is not so little anymore

Our guy is quickly starting to grow up, as he continues to prove each day. He's learned to count, sometimes as high as 19 if we're walking up stairs, he knows every body part we've ever discussed, he's starting to inform us of when he's ready to "pee-pee", and is in every way becoming a toddler. He loves running, jumping, playing hide and seek, hates mac and cheese and  not getting picked up because we're feeding Ari. He has a love/hate relationship with her right now, asking for her first thing in the morning, but also tries to hit her when she's getting too much attention. His vocab is skyrocketing and his awareness of how the world around him works is amazing. He loves nothing more than taking apart and trying to reassemble electronics. Right now he loves the calculator. His coordination is improving greatly, and his interest in older kids is keen. He has no fear of new people and continues to make friends wherever he goes. We still struggle to get him to eat well sometimes, as the highchair is too restrictive for him when there's so much else to explore, but he can feed himself well with a fork and is working on the spoon. We eat a smoothie every morning for breakfast so I can slip in some pureed sweet potato for an easy veggie serving. He loves music of all kinds and especially songs with hand motions he knows, like Itsy Bitsy Spider. His current favorite books are the Tyndale preschooler Bible, a Halloween book called Trick or Treat, another Halloween book called Duck and Goose Find a Pumpkin, and I Love You Through and Through. He's a lot of fun and lot of work, such a neat and challenging age.

  1. what! Does not like mac and cheese?! I hope he grows into that taste. I thought all kids loved it!? I enjoyed the glimpse into Dane. Thanks :).
