February 2013

Feb...lots more snow. Cabin fever has been in full swing, and Dane has been awaiting his birthday...he wants a space station. Which he reminds us of frequently:) I also went back to work, which was a huge, heart-rending decision. I love being with the kids most of the time, but I also really miss being able to use the other giftings I have. So, when an opportunity to be the Associate Director of Communications for Blackhawk came up, I jumped at the chance. It has been wonderful and difficult, but the transition has gone better than I ever would have guessed, so we're extremely thankful for that!
 Regular baths are fun, but...
glow stick baths are way better. Thanks FB moms for giving me ideas like this!

Typical dinner at our house lately.

January 2013

January was filled with lots of snow. Lots of it. I keep telling Mark that the best thing we've purchased as a couple is easily the snowblower. Knox is still growing like crazy and becoming more of a little person each day. He's definitely begun teething, but only in the very early stages, which include lots of gnawing and lots of drooling. It's very wet. My dad also had a birthday and we had many days stuck in the house thinking of ways to stave off the cabin fever.

Sledding at Stoner Prairie

 Dominos!
 Look at her face:)

Just a typical day of tumbling.
Staring out at the plows with good buddy Lincoln.
 Gnaw.
More dancing. This is like every night.

Ari's big girl bed and curtains make a nicely-lit fort.

 Being weird.
 Ditto.

 Check out his air!

Knox is...3.75 months old?

Okay, so as a third child, I clearly haven't had quite as much time to put into posting about each new stage he enters. HOWEVER!, that doesn't mean that I don't appreciate every little way that he's growing and changing each day. He is a sweetly happy boy, who seemingly cannot NOT smile if someone's smiling at him. He's hard to draw a laugh out of, but is starting to find certain things funny. And invariably, he gives himself the hiccups when he laughs, poor guy! He's been sleeping consistently through the night since about 2.5 months, which is stunning to us, and a tremendous blessing, as it lets us keep up with the others much better. At his 2 month appointment, he was 12 lbs, 13 oz, so he's a big boy. We are so excited to keep getting to know him better and watch his relationship with Dane and Ari grow!

Dad's b-day

January, normally the month I dread the most each year, began on a good note this year. My dad turned 61 on the 5th, so my folks came for a visit and were kept quite busy by the kids:) Good times for everyone!

Family Christmas Celebrations 2012

This year, we also had the pleasure to spend a lot of time with a lot of our family and friends to celebrate Christmas.
Glogg night at Andersons with the Kamnetzes.

Steven lighting the pot! No singed arm hair this year:)

In memory of Grandma Cupcake, a watch from Sports Illustrated:)

 Mark stealing Dane's gifts already.

 Some shoulder time with Gramps.
Stevie with his doll and crown.
Mark with Backpack...it must run in the family...
 Christmas with Moyers and Veldes.

Look at that smile! And Knox's isn't too bad either;)
